Let me introduce you to the lightest fabric on the market, 7D SOFT.
Weighing just 19 grams per meter, it’s perfect for the lining of your Fergal down jacket.
Extremely soft to the touch, similar to silk, it’s very comfortable to wear.
Highly breathable, it helps manage moisture buildup during physical activity, allowing you to better regulate your body temperature thanks to itsmoisture-wicking properties.
The icing on the cake is that the fabric’s finish isnatural (EcoElite™ DWR), produced through a low-water, low-waste manufacturing process.

A fabric known to every user and manufacturer around the world—including the biggest names in the outdoor industry— 10D Taffeta has more than proven its worth in this sector. It’s worth noting, however, that some manufacturers use different finishes on the fabric…
This OEKO-TEX certified fabric is breathable, windproof, and water-repellent, making it perfect for use both on the outside and inside of your down jacket.
It can accompany you in all your activities, even the most demanding ones; however, it will be less abrasion-resistant than a 20-denier fabric.
The inner side of the fabric is soft to the touch and matte. The outer side, on the other hand, is glossy and brings out the fabric’s beautiful color. That’s why I use it on the outside of your sleeveless jacket, so you can admire all the nuances of this fabric with its ultra-light wax finish, guaranteed free of harmful substances for you and the environment.
10D nylon taffeta is a very high-quality fabric, 22 g/m² / 0.66 oz. Good DWR finish (extremely fine water-repellent polymer treatment). Highly breathable. Windproof.

• 20D Micro Ripstop

This is a high-quality, breathable micro-ripstop nylon. DWR (an extremely fine water-repellent polymer treatment). Breathable. Windproof. Very durable: 39 g/m². This option is available in black.

• 6D Ripstop 3-Layer WPB Laminate
•  

Windproof and waterproof fabric with extremely high water resistance (20,000 mm HH). It also offers high breathability (50,000 g, JIS L1099 B1 method), making it perfect for running and walking. The fabric weighs 51 g/m².
It is black with a slight gray tint and has a white interior.
This fabric is highly regarded in the US; major brands have been using it for several years, and it has proven its worth time and again.

The sizes are unisex, wide for better range of movement and to leave room for a first base and sweater.

The weight may vary by +/- 10% depending on the insulation used. Options will inevitably add weight to your jacket.

Their AQUABAN® technology is an exclusive surface encapsulation treatment designed to minimize the impact of moisture on warmth, and to improve the passage of moisture to the outside of your jacket.

You stay warm in wet and humid weather.

Nevertheless, I'd advise you to use protection on top of your down jacket if you have to deal with showers...

The jacket is cut for maximum freedom of movement. The back falls low, over the buttocks, to keep the back warm.

The cuffs and bottom of the jacket are finished with elastic. The hoods are adjustable with an elastic drawcord at the front.

The jackets feature #5 YKK Vislon two-way zippers, designed to make it easy to access your backpack waist belt or French Light Outdoor fanny pack, or to reach your climbing harness while rock climbing.

Size 5 Vislon is snow-proof.

Adjustable elastic bands are featured on the hood, around and at the back of the jacket, and along the bottom hem. 

The pockets are very large and warm.

The FERGAL down jacket will stand up to the coldest weather.

The operating temperatures given by the manufacturer Apex Climashield are around 10 °C static and 5° C in movement for the apex67 (the feeling may vary depending on the user).

For the apex134, 5 °C static and 0 °C in movement, (the feeling may vary depending on the user).

The combination of the Apex134 Fergal down jacket and the UltraCompact Apex Jacket was tested by members of the French Army at -25°C, and they did not feel cold. 

The temperatures are given for information purposes, with different technical layers underneath like an Alpha direct 90 sweater you can lower the temperature.

Your down jackets should arrive in May or June 2026.
