A Quilt is a sleeping bag with the hood and back removed for maximum weight savings. It's a versatile product that can be used fully open like a comforter, or closed in different ways.
I use a synthetic insulation called Apex from CLIMASHIELD. These are continuous polyester filaments with a number of patented treatments for greater stability and resistance to washing and mildew.
Synthetic insulation will protect you from moisture, keeping you dry whatever the weather. It won't warp or lose its insulating performance, even when compressed and crushed. It doesn't stretch and can be bio-sourced.
No animal had to suffer, die or be plucked to make this Quilt. As a fervent protector of the flora and fauna of our magnificent planet, it's very important to me to create 100% synthetic products with the lowest possible environmental impact. We don't have a second planet, and we don't have back-up wildlife.
