10D Nylon Taffeta

10D Nylon Taffeta

Used by many specialty brands, it offers an excellent balance of lightness, breathability, wind protection, and durability.

At French Light Outdoor, we use it in particular for its exceptionally refined finish. Its interior has a soft, matte texture, while its exterior features deep colors thanks to a slightly satin finish.

This combination results in a fabric that feels pleasant against the skin while enhancing the appearance of the finished product.

Like all ultralight fabrics, however, it is less abrasion-resistant than a heavier-weight fabric such as 20D.

10D Taffeta Nylon has become a benchmark in the outdoor world.

✔ OEKO-TEX certification

✔ breathable

✔ windbreaker

✔ water-repellent

Where are our fabrics manufactured?

This is a question we get asked often.
We would love to be able to offer you only technical fabrics made in Europe.

Unfortunately, after extensive research, the conclusion remains the same for virtually all players in the industry: the leading manufacturers of ultralight fabrics are based in Asia.

A Commitment to Transparency

Whether they are sold by European or American retailers, many of these textiles come from the same manufacturing facilities.

Rather than leaving room for doubt, we chose to be transparent.

Ongoing research

Each material used is described along with its technical specifications, certifications (if any), and origin.

Nevertheless, we continue to seek out more local alternatives whenever possible, without ever compromising the quality of the products we offer.
